Effect of Silver Coated Copper on the Surface Resistance |

As the use of electronics and communication device rapidly increase, damage of electro-magnetic wave is growing the interest and anxiety due to increase in body temperature and nerve irritation. In order to reduce the harm of the electromagnetic wave, electro-magnetic interference (EMI) shielding materials was needed in our circumstances. EMI shielding materials have good conductivity and large specific surface area owing to skin effect that highly frequency wave interact with top of the conductor. Generally EMI shielding films consist of polymer resin and conductive powder (or flake) such as silver coated copper (SCC) and curing agent etc. In our study we investigate degree of SCC dispersion within polymer matrix. We employed high resolution SEM to observe degree of the scattered state for nano-sized metals in polymer matrix. Finally we prepared 60 micron meter (including 30 micron) thickness film and then measured electrical property such as surface resistance, and adhesion strength between conducting layer and substrates. |
