Reversed-phase preparative high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was applied to the purification of chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, scoparone and rutin from Herba Artemisiae Scopariae. By changing the different extraction solvents, procedures and times, the optimum extraction condition was established by using methanol as extraction solvent, and ultrasonics extracting 40 min. The effect of different packing sizes and column temperature on the isolation was investigated and the result showed that using preparative C18 column 12 μm under ambient temperature, the four compounds extracted from Herba Artemisiae Scopariae obtained better separation. |
