Antibacterial and Antifungal Activities of Herbal Honey |
| 초록 |
This study examined to the development of novel medicine for atopic dermatitis treatment using herbal honey harvested in the Jirisan (Korea). The sugar compositions of the herbal honey were investigated by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).The antibacterial and the antifungal activities of herbal honey were evaluated against 4 bacteria and 2 fungi. The minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) was examined various concentration against bacteria and fungi. The MIC showed that its values against the bacteria and fungi were 1.25 ~ 5 μg/mL and5 ~ 10 μg/mL, respectively. Based on these results, it is possible to introduction of herbal honey into biomedical fields. |
