제목 Hydrophilization of Multi-walled Carbon Nanotube by Polyethylene glycol
초록 MWNT is to be used to various industrial fields because of their enforced mechanical, thermal, electrical, and optical properties. However, their self-agglomeration has interrupted fine dispersion to water of MWNT. The MWNT uniformly dispersed in solvents can be utilized in direct conductive coating, further sol-sol process, and nanocomposite manufacturing. The purpose of this work is to improve dispersion stability of MWNT in aqueous media by chemical modification using a hydrophilic polymer, namely, polyethylene glycol (PEG). The PEG-grafted MWNT showed much enhanced dispersion stability in water and alcohols.
