제목 Homoleptic Green Emitting mer-Iridium Complexes for Highly Efficient Solution-Processed Phosphorescence Organic Light-Emitting Diodes
초록 Two new homoleptic green emitting iridium (III) complexes mer-3-CF3BNO-N-Hexyl and mer-3-CF3BNO-N-Et-Hexyl based on bridged phenyl pyridine skeleton were synthesized at higher temperature (<220 °C). Interestingly both complexes show high quantum yield of 51% and 42% in 2-MeTHF and comparable to that of fac-(tppy) (Φ-0.51). mer-3-CF3BNO-N-Hexyl and mer-3-CF3BNO-N-Et-Hexyl complexes show high thermal stability of 380 °C and 381 °C, respectively. Both complexes were used as dopant material for green PhOLEDs and were fabricated using CBP as host. Devices using 3-CF3BNO-N-Et-Hexyl complex as dopant shows a maximum external quantum efficiency of 18.17% and current efficiency of 57.42 cd/A. mer-3-CF3BNO-N-Hexyl and mer-3-CF3BNO-N-Et-Hexyl shows high brightness of 16,701 and 25,724 cd/m2, whereas mer-3-CF3BNO-N-Hexyl and mer-3-CF3BNO-N-Et-Hexyl showed a maximum electroluminescence of 528 and 526 nm with CIE coordinates (0.373, 0.574) and (0.373, 0.573), respectively.
