제목 Characteristics of Organic Photovoltaic cells using a novel Fullerene derivative as an N-type Acceptor
초록 PCBM is generally used as an electron acceptor material, one of the most successful fullerene derivatives. However, many research groups have synthesized novel fullerene derivatives as an electron acceptor material since PCBM cannot absorb light in visible region. In the present work, we have synthesized novel fullerene derivative containing alkyl chain in the perylene terminal moiety (Hexylperylene fullerene, HPF). HPF is expected to have a high electron acceptor property and good solubility. In addition HPF improves the light harvesting visible range. It is found that performances of OPV cells using HPF directly depend on the fabrication process. The performance of OPV cells using an 1,8-octanedithiol was enhanced to almost a 1.7 times of PCE compared to the conventional P3HT:PCBM base photovoltaic cell. Especially, we have investigated the characteristic of OPV cells consisting of ITO/PEDOT:PSS/P3HT:HPF/Al by incident photon to electron conversion efficiency.
