In this study, for the high efficient immobilization or controlled affinity of biomolecules, we used various polyelectrolyte multilayer(PEM) films. Gold nanoparticle-hybrid polymer films retain the unique SPR characteristics to detect the biomolecules at the event of the adsorption on the chip surface. These new hybrid coatings are beneficial to increase detection ability of SPR sensors by increasing the density of the immobilized biomolecules. Additionally, the polymer coatings exhibit the property of preventing non-specific adsorption of protein onto the chip surface. Other polymer films driving the supramolecular binding reaction were also studied. |
