제목 Co-solvent effect on the dispersion polymerization of Poly(methyl methacrylate)
초록 Synthesis of poly(methyl methacrylate) was carried out by dispersion polymerization. The reaction were performed in the various solvent systems in the presence of Potassium persulfate and Poly(vinyl alcohol) as the initiator and stabilizer, respectively. Some of these solvents in certain combination allowed the direct preparation of monodisperse microspherical particles. The size and uniformity of the microspheres are dependent on the polymerization medium. The solvent systems were studied water miscible possess a wide range of solubilities and systermatic variations in the chemical structure, and this permits a better qualitative understanding of the effects of medium on the polymerizing mixture.
