Mixing Effect of Methanol and Ethanol on trans-Esterification |
| 초록 |
The transesterification is using methanol, ethanol as the main reactant to produce biodiesel. However, methanol can only be derived from fossil fuel and ethanol is slow reaction. In this study, in order to investigate mixing effect, we produced biodiesel using methanol, ethanol and mixture of them. As the experimental variables the mole ratio of methanol, ethanol/oil was varied 1:3 to 1:9. As produced biodiesel using vegetable oil and optimal mole ratio of mixed methanol and ethanol was varied mole ratio. |
