Organic thin-film transistors ( OTFTs ) are considered to be promising TFTs as flexible display, large area display, transparent display, gas sensor, smart card. However, papers of the OTFTs have been reported that H2O, O2 effect the severe degradation of the OTFT performance, mobility, on/off ratio. Thus, OTFTs are required to be addition layers to protect H2O, O2 from impenetrating the active layer of OTFTs. The passivation materials greatly enhance the lifetime of OTFTs performance. The passivation layers, consist of the curing polymer or inorganic/polymer hybrid material, is deposited on OTFT device through spin coating method. In conclusion, even though the relative mobility, mobility of OTFT device without any passivation layer has 25%, 1.84E-3(cm2/Vs), one with passivation layer has 67%, 4.5E-3(cm2/Vs) under harsh environmental condition, 25 Celsius degree ,90% relative humidity. |
