Electrospinning has been regarded as an easy and valuable technique for fabricating nanofibers for a diversity of materials. The electrospun nanofibers are generally obtained as nonwoven mats, in which the fibers are varyingly oriented. Ultrafine poly(vinly pyrrolidone)(PVP) fibers were successfully produced via a electrospinning technique. Di-water was used as the dissolving solvent. The morphology and other characteristics of the electrospun PVP fibers were found to be dependent on PVP concentration. Furthermore, the optimum concentration, at which the nanofiber has non-bead shape and uniform diameter, was discovered. In order to demonstrate morphology and properties of PVP nanofibers, Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) was used to characterize the electrospun PVP nanofiber. |
