Functionalization of Carbon Nanotubes based on the Imidazolium Cation: Tunable Solubility by Anion Exchange |
| 초록 |
The ability to modify the surface of carbon nanotubes is of crucial importance for their utilization in different application. The chemical modification of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNT) was accomplished by imidazolium cation–based functional groups. The solubility of the functionalized MWNT in water and organic solvents could sophisticatedly be turned by alkyl chain length and/or anions.
