The adsorption capacity of microorganisms with heavy metal ions in wastewater for biopolymeric carboxymethylchitosan |
초록 |
Carboxymethylchitosan represents a polyampholyte having both amine and carboxymethyl groups in the polymer chain. The adsorption capacity of microorganisms with heavy metal ions of the carboxymethylchitosan examined to treatment of wastewater. The modified chitosan was generated by reacting monocholoroacetate with chitin in NaOH solution. The adsorption capacities of E. coli and heavy metal ions in treated wastewater were measured. The adsorption capacities increased as a contact time goes higher. The removal efficiencies were more than 90% Cu2+, Zn2+ and E. coli from wastewater. It indicated that the carboxymethylchitosan adsorb microorganisms as well as heavy metal ions, and can be applied to the treatment of biological wastewater. |
