Electrofluorescent modulation of Anthracene oligomer/cooligomer using TBAI/I2 dopant |

Anthracene oligomer and anthracene/EDOT cooligomer were synthesized from Friedel-Craft’s induced polymerization. Herein, we studied the electrofluorescent modulation property of Anthracene oligomer/cooligomer using TBAI/I2 dopant. Adding the tetrabutylammounium iodide(TBAI)/iodine(I2), anthracene oligomer/cooligomer could be form charge transfer complex. In solution state, effect of TBAI/I2 dopant could show remarkable dynamic fluorescence quenching. Additionally, we present the solid device containing viscous polymer electrolyte having TBAI/I2 and anthracene oligomer/cooligomer mixture. The fluorescent device was reversible electrochemically switched on and off as a function of the applied potential. The results are meaningful for fluorescence switching sensor reserch. These method can improve the optical and electrochemical performance in aromatic polymer luminescent field. |
