Organic Photovoltaic Cells have attracted considerable attention in recent years due to their low cost, light-weight, flexibility and fabrication by solution process. Donor-acceptor(D-A) copolymers is good choices for polymers for OPVs, because their structural backbone and electronic behavior could be tailored by combination of different π-electron-rich(donor) and π-electron-difficient(acceptor) moieties. We choose quinacridone as donor, benzooxadiazole as acceptor. Quinacridone possesses a rigid and coplanar backbone. To enhance intramolecular charge transfer, efficient way would be to polymerize quinacridone with a strongly electron-deficient unit. Benzooxadiazole is thought to be a promising acceptor unit since it has a strong electron-withdrawing character. In this study, we synthesized polymer using suzuki coupling reaction. The synthesized polymer is showed physical, optical, electrochemical and photovoltaic properties. |
