Fabrication of low-temperature co-fired solid oxide fuel cells by adding a trace of copper |
초록 |
The co-fired cells were successfully fabricated without any cracks by adding a trace of copper. It is found that addition of a trace of copper promotes a densification of the YSZ electrolyte and increases the amount of the oxygen vacancy in the YSZ electrolyte. Furthermore, it shows the possibility of co-firing at low temperature by adding a trace of copper. Contrary to the reasonable maximum power density of two-step cell with 0.71 W cm-2 at 850 oC, the one-step cell has lower maximum power density with 0.14 W cm-2 because of the higher sintering temperatures of the LSM/YSZ cathode than 1200 oC. It can laed to producing the insulating phases at the interfaces between the cathode and YSZ electrolyte and reducing of porosity in the cathode polarization. As a result, the cathode should be improved to have thermal sustainability at 1250 oC, or the co-firing temperatures should be reduced below 1200 oC to ensure reasonable performances with one-step co-firing. |
