The specific surface area and pore structure are important factor in electrochemical performance of electric double layer capacitor (EDLC). Therefore, the controlled pore structure of porous carbons is crucial for the improvement of EDLCs capacity. In this study, we present electrochemically enhanced electrode materials of phenol-based activated carbon with dual pore structure. The phenol-based carbon materials with high surface area and facilitated pore development were prepared from SiO2 template and KOH activation for mesopore and micropore. The textural properties of them were assessed BET, HK, and DFT methods. And the electrochemical properties of them were evaluated using cyclic voltammetry. The specific surface area and mesopore volume was increased with increasing SiO2 quantity. The specific capacitance was increased with increase of specific surface area and mesopore volume of phenol-based activated carbons. |
