A number of research efforts have used carbon nanotubes for reinforcement of epoxy. However, it is remained that problems of multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNT) in nanocomposites are aggregated. In this study, MWCNTs were grafted by monoethanolamine and diethanolamine, and f-MWCNTs/epoxy nanocomposites were prepared. f-MWCNTs were characterized by FT-IR spectra, Raman spectra and TGA. f-MWCNTs of modulus and stress at elongation increased with increasing MWCNTs content. Tensile strength and flexual strength of f-MWCNTs/epoxy nanocomposites were better than MWCNTs/epoxy nanocomposites. The morphology of nanocomposites were analyzed by FE-SEM. |
