Single walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) having excellent electrical conductivity has been expected to be used as, for an example, a transparent conducting film. Dispersion of SWCNT, especially debundling, is crucial in liquids because transparency of the film needs to be comparable to ITO glass. However, loss in electrical conductivity may happen during chemical modification on CNT in order to enhance dispersity. In this study, we developed supercritical fluid (SCF) treatment methods for enhancing debundling without chemical modification, where SCF is expected to attenuate van der Waals interaction between individual tubes. After SCF treatment SWCNT are effectively debundled, which is confirmed by Near-IR and Raman spectra analysis and Cryo-EM. |
