제목 Hydrogenation of norbornene-based ROMP Polymers
초록 These polymers with excellent thermal and optical properties were prepared by the ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) of norbornene-based monomers followed by the hydrogenation of the main-chain double bond. The hydrogenated ring-opened polymers were obtained by the variation of experimental conditions. The obtained ring-opened polymers showed glass-transition temperatures of 20~150°C and 5% weight-loss temperatures at 370~450°C. These polymers have excellent thermal and optical properties because of their bulky and unsymmetrical polycyclic structures in the main chain.
