Enhanced CO2 absorption rate of amine solvents by bovine carbonic anhydrase |
초록 |
It is predicted that approximately 28 Gton/day of carbon dioxide (CO2) is released from industrial through flue gases into the atmosphere resulting in Global warming. Therefore, to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere, Carbon dioxide capture and storage (CCS) is a most important technology through which CO2 removed from the renewable energy sources. The total operating costs accounted for such implementation is calculated to be more than 70% that of renewable energy. Therefore, it is necessary to select a promoter which can enhance the characteristic of absorbent.In this study, Bovine carbonic anhydrase (BCA) is a chosen as a promoter which increases the rate of CO2 absorption capacity than amine solvents. It is also recognized as an effective biocatalyst for continues CO2 absorption in industrial processes. |
