Application of Sol-Gel Hard Coatings for color decoration of Window Lens |

The UV curable hard coating material has been developed to improve the surface resistance and transparency of polycarbonate film. In this work, we study the influence of the composition of sol-gel solution on the surface physical properties. Transparent coatings on polycarbonate substrate were produced by spin coating with good optical quality and showed excellent adhesion on substrate. The pencil hardness of coating was improved to 2H. We also studied color coatings on polycarbonate for decoration and fabricated color decorated window lens. |
