제목 Effects of functionalized graphene nanoplates on the mechanical and thermal properties of polyurethane nanocomposites.
초록 Graphene is one of promising nanofillers for polymer composites and attracting attentions of many researchers due to the high conductivities as well as the excellent mechanical and thermal properties. In order to achieve the fine dispersion of the graphene in polyurethane (PU) elastomers, Fridel-Craft acylation reaction was carried out to introduce OH-groups on the edge of graphene nanoplates (GNPs) prepared from natural graphites via the intercalationa and the exofoliation. The functionalized GNPs were incorporated into PU elastomers based on poly(tetramethylene ether glycol) and 4,4’-dephenylmethane diisocyanete. Effects of the functionalized GNPs on the thermal and mechanical properties of PU nanocomposites were investigated experimentally. It was found that the functionalization of GNPs resulted in the better dispersion of GNPs in PU elastomers and the higher reinforcement effects in the PU elastomers as well as the better thermal stabilities.
