제목 | Dispersion Polymerization of Methyl Methacrylate Stabilized with poly[perfluoroalkyl (meth)acrylate] in Supercritical Carbon Dioxide |
초록 | Recently, supercritical CO2(scCO2) is used as a more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional solvents in polymerization. But few researches have been reported the relations between monomers and surfactants. And the steric stabilization mechanism of growing particles in scCO2 has not been fully described. It is also thought that each monomer needs the specified type of surfactant and the optimal condition of T and P. We prepared the new polymeric fluorosurfactants, poly(perfluoroalkyl (meth)acrylate). In this study, we report a successful dispersion polymerization of methyl methacylate(MMA) in scCO2. It was performed using AIBN as the initiator and poly(perfluoroalkyl (meth)acrylate) as the stabilizer at T=343K. The discrete spherical particles of PMMA were obtained and characterized by 1H-NMR, GPC, SEM, etc. We studied the effects of initial concentrations of initiator and stabilizer, the reaction pressure on the resulting PMMA particles. |
