Effects of illite addition on thermal stability and flame retardancy of illite/polypropylene nanocomposites |
초록 |
Hybrid clay-polymer composites have the combination of the hardness and thermal stability of inorganic clay and the mechanical toughness and flexibility of organic polymer. Illite is one of the abundant clay materials, consisting 50% of clay materials on earth. Illite has good thermal stability and high aspect ratio to be expected as a good filler for clay-polymer nanocomposites. In addition, few studies about illite/PP were reported. Therefore, in this study, the use of illite as an inorganic filler to enhance thermal stability and flame retardancy of polypropylene(PP) was investigated. |
