제목 | Phase separation behavior of immiscible polystyrene blends in non-equilibrium state |
초록 | Surface morphology on hydrophilic silicon wafer in spin cast thin films of immiscible polystyrene blends, such as polystyrene/poly(methyl methacrylate), polystyrene/ polybutadiene and polystyrene/ poly(vinyl pyridine), was investigated by AFM. The blend composition and the solution concentration of each blend system were varied and the three distinct morphologies of the blend thin films including sea-island, reverse sea-island (pitted), and bicontinuous-like structures were observed. The surface morphologies of the blend films were affected by glass transition temperature of the polymers and the interaction between polymer-solvent and/or polymer-substrate. Table 1.
