There are a few processes making a thin film with a CVD method. Among them, the Gorham method, which they called “Parylene CVD”, is used a [2.2]paracyclophane as a dimer that can be cleavaged to two monomers having radical activated sites by pyrolysis step. The thin film made in that way, Parylene, has a several characteristics to protect the materials. It can be a barrier to harsh environment including humid, heat, chemicals and a transparency. For this reason, Parylene thin film will be adequate to be used for passivating Quantum dots nanoparticles. We can make a passivation composite film easily with simple process. Although, in this article, we just introduced a new concept of passivating Quantum dots, after that we are going to research improvement of interfacial properties between nanoparticles and Parylene polymer thin film by exchanging ligand of Quantum dots and introducing side chain on Parylene’s main chain. |
