제목 Development Status of MEA for Automotive Application
초록 A high level of activities in energy conversion fields has been made to realize its commercialization and to develop sustainable energy technologies by lowering our dependence on fossil fuels. A polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) has been developed as a clean energy resource at a range of scale for stationary and automotive power system because of high efficiency and power density, low operating temperature, and environmental friendliness. Herein we present current status and development of durable membrane-electrode assembly (MEA) with sustaining power performance via our R&D progress. The design strategy based on the control and functionalization of catalysts, electrode structure, and MEA configuration provides a high performance MEA for automotive application. Future development of the MEA in a broad range of industry will be performed by balancing high performance against multiple functionalities and manufacturing cost.
