제목 Tumor localized and photo-triggerable micelle-encapsulated drug to elicit synergistic therapeutic effects
초록 Recently, nanotechnology has received enormous attention due to their unique size and addible functional moiety according to needs. Regardless of these numerous platforms, undesired side effects such as normal tissue damage have been reported. To overcome these limitations, a combinatory chemo-photodynamic therapy has a synergistic potential to enhance antitumor effect as a promising strategy.  
Herein, we designed drug-incorporated photo-triggered micelles (DPTMs) based on a combination of ROS generator (RG) and ROS scavenger (RS) conjugated polymer to achieve effective drug delivery using a single depot. DPTMs were optimized and showed uniform morphology with nano-size. In addition, the ROS generation of DPTMs upon laser irradiation promoted the release of drug from micelles via reduction of RS.    
In this study, we demonstrated that DPTMs showed a higher therapeutic effect than monotherapy and confirmed a great potential for cancer treatment.
