Pluronic, PEG-PPG-PEG triblock copolymer which is used for delivery systems, is known to have thermo-sensitive properties and forms hydrogels to display sol-gel transition at a proper condition by micelle packing mechanism. Pluronic hydrogels have some limitations because of high critical gelation concentrations and poor gel stability in physiological environment. Multiblock copolymers with linkers having functional groups are reported to have lower critical gelation concentration and introduction of pH-sensitivity. There have been some researches giving pluronic pH-sensitivity with carboxylic acid. Like carboxylic groups, Amine groups are expected to exhibit the same capability to give pluronic pH-sensitivity. Because of several types of amine group and nitrogen’s electron drawing ability, they have more advantages compared with carboxylic acid. Therefore, we focused on synthesizing multiblock copolymer with linkers having amine groups and confirmed sol-gel transition. |
