The high conductive and thin films of poly (3,4 ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) are obtained by a spin coating using ferric toluene sulfonate as oxidant on a substrate in the presence of magnetic field. The different PEDOT films were prepared according to the polymerization time, temperature, and magnetic field. The effects of the factors on the properties of the PEDOT films were investigated. The conductivity of PEDOT film was relatively higher than that of PEDOT film by a vapor phase polymerization. It was supposed that polymer chains are preferentially oriented in the magnetic field. The properties of PEDOT films were characterized by conductivity and UV-Vis spectra. |
