제목 Study on the morphology and permeation property of heterogeneous membranes : Effect of casting solvent
초록 The polyurethane(PU) based heterogeneous membranes for carbon dioxide separation were prepared by the solvent evaporation process. A poly(amide-imide)(PAI) and a polycarbonate(PC) have been chosen as a blend component, because of their higher carbon dioxide selectivity than PU. The CO2 separation properties of PU based blend membranes as function of different blend ratio have been studied.
The morphologies of PU based blend membranes were investigated by SEM. The resulting membranes were immiscible system and phase separation occurred as decreasing amount of PU. The CO2 permeabilities of PU based blend membranes were in the range of 9.92 ∼ 28.97 barrer. The permeabilities were decreased as blend ratio increased. The CO2/N2 selectivity of PU based blend membranes was improved with decreasing amount of PU. The CO2 separation properties of PU based blend membranes depended on the volume fraction of dispersion component and the processing history such as casting solvent. It was found that the phase morphology of PU based blend membranes could significantly influence the permeation properties of the membranes.
