Recently solution-processed BHJ photovoltaic cells have achieved a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of around 10%, using various crystalline organic materials as the electron donor and fullerene derivatives as the electron acceptor. Progress in organic photovoltaics (OPVs) requires significant advances in the areas of material design and synthesis, film processing, and morphology control, as well as device architecture. In this talk, we present our recent efforts to push up the solar cell efficiency via development of new organic materials and device optimization. |
