A two-dimensional network of particle arrays on flexible polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film has been reported as a novel method to improve optical transparency, in addition to flexibility. In this study, we used highly monodisperse 500nm silica particles and singlewall carbon nanotubes(SWNTs). SWNTs exhibit remarkable electronic and optical properties for applications of flexible transparent conducting films. SWNTs were treated with H2SO4-HNO3 acid solution and then, dispersed in DI water or DMF, respectively. The highly dispersed CNTs solutions were drop-cast on monolayer silica particles array. Silica particles were removed by immersing HF acid solution. The relationship between film morphology, transmittance and electrical conductivity were investigated by SEM, UV-visible spectrometry and Four-point probe method. |
