제목 | Synthesis and Electric Properties of Conductive Nanocomposites prepared by In-situ Polymerization of Pyrrole in Polystyrene-block-Poly(n-butyl methacrylate) Copolymer |
초록 | Electrically conductive nanocomposites were prepared by in-situ polymerization of pyrrole in Polystyrene-block-Poly(n-butyl methacrylate) [PS-PnBMA] copolymer. PS-PnBMA was synthesized by anionic polymerization and exhibited a lower critical ordering transition at 160oC, above which LAM microdomains were observed. The PS-PnBMA film with the thickness of 0.3 mm and 1 mm was dipped into pyrrole/water solution, then dipped into again FeCl3/water solution. The in situ polymerization of pyrrole was done using a catalyst of FeCl3 in water. Since pyrrole monomer in aqueous solution penetrates more easily into PnBMA microdomains than it does into PS microdomains, almost all polypyrroles (Ppy) are located inside the PnBMA microdomains We found that the amount of polymerized Ppy increased with duration time of PS-PnBMA film in pyrrole/water solution; thus the Fickian diffusion of pyrrole monomer into PnBMA microdomains holds. Parallel and perpendicular conductivities of PS-PnBMA/Polypyrrole nanocomposites with various contents of Ppy were measured by a four-probe and two-point technicque, respectively. There was a critical weight fraction, percolation threshold concentration, from insulator to semiconductor. A sudden increase of conductivity was exhibited at the percolation threshold.
