Phenothiazine-based polymers had good hole injection property due to low HOMO level. However, they have low luminescence efficiency because electron injection/transporting properties are more difficult than that of hole injection/transporting properties. In order to give better electron injection/transporting properties, we introduce aromatic 1,2,4-triazole moiety to the polymer backbone. The HOMO energy levels are very similar to the HOMO level of to the poly(10-hexyl-3,7-phenothiazine) (PT). This is presumably due to 1,2,4-triazole does not affect ionization potential 10-hexylphenothiazine moiety. The efficiency of the device based on the copolymers were dramatically improved than the value of the device based on PT. In this presentation, we will report synthesis, optical, electrochemical and electroluminescent properties of the copolymers based on phenothiazine-based 10-hexylphenothiazine and aromatic 1,2,4-triazole. |
