Mesoporous TiO2, which is composed with worm-hole like pore via self-aggregation of primary TiO2 particles with the size below 10 nm, can effective adsorb various volatile organic compounds (VOCs) on the pore surface. When it is applied to textile materials, protective ability against VOCs can be provided to the textile. In this study, we introduced mesoporous TiO2 to cellulose textile. To achieve this, the mesoporous TiO2 sphere was synthesized using TiO2 precursor and blockcopolymer. Next, it was treated with the cellulose textile at basic condition using (3-glycidoxypropyl)trimethoxysilane (GPTMS) as a silane coupling agent including epoxy group between the mesoporous TiO2 and cellulose textile. The prepared mesoporous TiO2 was analyzed by XRD, FE-SEM, HR-TEM, and BET-BJH analyses. In order to characterize introduced mesoporous TiO2 on the cellulose textile, FE-SEM and TGA analyses were carried out. |
