Collagen, one of the most common biomaterials, has been found diverse applications in biomedical field such as wound dressing, drug and gene carrier, and tissue engineering for its excellent biocompatibility and biodegradability. According to the difference of the raw materials and the extraction process, various forms of collagen can be obtained, including soluble and insoluble or reconstituted collagen, etc. Now, the collagen fiber products such as film, gel, sponge and scaffold type matrices are important materials for biomedical application. In study, Grafted-PLLA films were prepared in the presence of collagen on PLLA film. Surface modification of 2-D PLLA membrane was done for fundamental understanding of modification. Static contact angles were measured by the sessile drop method. Swelling ratio and tensile strength of grafted PLLA films were measured and the morphology was analyzed by SEM (scanning electron microscope). |
