초록 | Inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES) is used to qualitative and quantitative determination of metal and non-metal elements in solution. The liquid sample is nebulized into plasma where the temperature is sufficiently high to break chemical bonds, liberate elements present and transform them into a gaseous atomic state. In the plasma, the excited atoms and ions are produced and then emit electromagnetic radiation at characteristic wavelengths of a particular element. The intensity of this emission is indicative to the concentration of the element within the sample. Clean solution samples can be analyzed directly through all instruments, but in order to gain accurate results on other samples, a pretreatment may need to be applied. |
