A novel approach to bioactive nanobiomaterials based on functionalized mesoporous silica materials |
초록 |
The highly ordered mesoporous silica materials have the controllable pore dimension and large specific surface area. Their highly ordered pore structure make themselves a very suitable for the encapsulation or immobilization of biomolecules by using various functional groups on the inner or outer surface. In addition, the develpoment of sol-gel methods under the ambient condition have been interested as a new way to encapsulate biomolecules within porous materials as well as maintain their biological activities. In this study, a sulfonated and a heparinized mesoporous silica prepared by sol-gel method were investigated for medical device applications. A sulfonated surface was prepared by the oxidation. The heparinized surfaces were prepared by physicochemical immobilization of heparin to functionalized mesoporous silica. The surface properties were characterized and the blood compatibility is now under evaluation. |
