Poly (ether ether ketone) (PEEK) membranes with different degrees of sulfonation (40% ~ 80%) were prepared by both homogeneous and heterogeneous methods. Sulfonation and its degree were identified using FTIR spectroscopy and back titration method, respectively. Thermal analysis showed that the increase of sulfonation degree increased the glass transition temperature and enhanced the thermal stability. The morphological structure of s-PEEK was investigated by SEM, and SAXS. A solvent casting method using a few solvents such as N,N-dimethyl formamide, N,N-dimethyl acetamide and 1-methy,2-pyrrolidinone was used to prepare sPEEK membranes. The effect of casting solvent on the membrane morphology and properties was investigated. A variety of properties of sPEEK membranes prepared by two methods were compared. |
