제목 A study on the effect of several variables on proton conductivity of SPEEK/BPO4 composite membranes via an in-situ sol-gel process
초록 Composite membranes based on sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone) (SPEEK) containing boron phosphate (BPO4) were prepared via an in-situ sol-gel process. The effect of several variables such as reaction time, reaction temperature and solution-cast form of SPEEK on the relationship between the size of BPO4 and the proton conductivity was investigated. The size of BPO4 and proton conductivity were not dependent on reaction time and reaction temperature in the in-situ sol-gel process, while the solution-cast form of the composite membranes strongly influenced the size of BPO4. Water uptake of the composite membrane using H+-form SPEEK was higher than that of the composite membrane using Na+-form SPEEK due to the bigger size of BPO4, and the proton conductivity was enhanced in the composite membranes using H+-form SPEEK. As a result, it can be recommended that the preparation of the composite membranes using H+-form SPEEK is favorable via an in-situ sol-gel process.
