Recently organic (polymer)solar cells have been extensively highlighted as one of the best candidates for next generation solar cells. The recent power conversion efficiency of polymer solar cellshas reached ~8 %, which could be enabled by introducing newly synthesized organic semiconducting materials (donors and acceptors). In this talk, the organic semiconducting materials used for the improved efficiency organic solar cells will be reviewed together with their performances. If time is allowed, the lifetime issue in organic solar cells will be discussed in brief. |
