Synthesis and Characterization of Novel Thermosensitive and Biodegradable Pluronic F127 Derivatives for Cartilage Tissue Engineering |

Thermogelling Pluronic F127 was approved by FDA as a material for a living body, and it has been studied extensively as a biocompatible material for drug delivery system and tissue engineering. In this study, we synthesized novel temperature-sensitive and biodegradable Gly-Arg-Gly-Asp (GRGD) peptide was grafted Pluronic F127 derivatives. These polymers were characterized by 1H-NMR, FTIR, GPC, and elemental analyzer. The sol-gel transition temperature was determined by the test tube inverting method and dynamic mechanical analysis. At 20 wt%, the sol-to-gel transition temperature of FGM-RGD aqueous solution was similar with F127. The cytotoxicities of these polymers were evaluated in relative cell viability of chondrocytes using WST-8 assay. |
