Preparation of titania/copper oxide nanofibers via electrospinning |

The preparation of titania/copper oxide nanofibers were performed by a calcination of a hybrid organic-inorganic nanofibers as precursor. Hybrid nanofibers were obtained from a solution of poly(vinyl acetate) (PVAc)/titanium(Ⅳ) isopropoxide and copper(Ⅱ) acetate monohydrate by electrospinning. Hybrid and inorganic nanofibers were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), wide angle X-ray diffraction(WAXD), and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET) surface area. SEM, WAXD results indicated that the morphology and crystalline phase of titania/copper oxide nanofibers were strongly influenced by the content of titania/copper in the nanofibers and the calcination temperature. Titania/copper nanofibers prepared with 50~100 nm of fiber diameter and anatase/copper oxide of crystalline structure. |
