제목 All-organic ionic polymer actuator with conducting polymer as electrode: anionic exchange membrane, NEOSEPTA
초록 General Ionic-Polymer Metal Composite (IPMC) fabricated through chemical plating of metals on both sides of the ion exchange membrane like Nafion, which has some problems like corrosion, formation of ununiform electrodes, and cracks by bending motion. For solving these problems, polyaniline (PANi) was substituted for metal electrodes. PANi which was used in this study, was synthesized by self-stabilized dispersion polymerization and has attractive properties, such as lightweight, low costs, high stress generation, and low operating voltages. We fabricated tri-layer actuator using anion exchange membrane, NEOSEPTA, for opposite bending direction of PANi to IPMC. In conclusion, while the bending performance was increased, direction was the same with IPMC.
