Effects of Ionic Surfactant on the Morphologies and Electrical Conductivities of Polypyrrole Nanostructure |

Preparation of polymeric nanospheres using micelle template is a well-known technique. However, little study on the relation between physical property and morphology has been carried. In this study, morphologies and electrical conductivities of polypyrrole (PPy) nanostructures prepared with different types of ionic surfactants were investigated. The conductivity was influenced by the nanoscaled structures that determined by the type of surfactant and the sequence of reaction. These results will facilitate the understanding on the role of surfactants in synthesizing colloidal PPy nanoparticles and controlling their electrical conductivities. |
