Microporous carbons (MCs) were prepared by only carbonization of poly(vinylidene chloride-co-methylmethacrylate) (PVDC-MA). The effects of carbonization temperature on electrochemical performance of MCs were investigated. Without additional activation, MCs have a high specific surface area (700 m2/g). From the charge/discharge results, the highest specific capacitance of MCs was obtained at MC-800. This is suggested that well-developed carbon structure and microporous features (<1 nm) of MCs, resulsting in easy transfer and excellent accessibility of electrolyte ions. |
