| 제목 | Synthetic Rubber as a Tire Material for Greener Earth |
| 초록 | Tire labelling regulation was activated in Europe as of Nov. 1, 2012 to raise awareness of consumers of not only greater safety but also lower fuel consumption and noise emissions. Under the tire labelling system tires are catagorized into 7 groups(A~G) depending on the fuel efficiency, wet grip and external rolling noise. Tire manufacturers are obliged to label new tires according to this system. Besides Europe, US set up similar labelling regulation and Korea and Japan are also introducing mandatory tire labelling this year. Tire labelling is expected to change global tire markets in the future, for instance, by increasing demand for high performance tires with high fuel efficiency and therefore to boost demand for high performance synthetic rubbers. Synthetic rubber producers are interested in developing high performance rubbers for high performance tires. In light of this, SSBR and Nd-BR have started getting more attention these days as they are well suited to demanding applications to cope with the tire labelling regulations. |
