The Room temperature ionic liquids are widely used in metal extraction, battery, electrochemical sensing, and electroorganic synthesis due to a green solvent, non-Volatile and having wide electrochemical window. Among them NTF2- anion contained RTIL have wide electrochemical potential window about 6 V under which many metal ions can be able to soluble. The influence of RTIL’s cationic moiety can derive by a redox behavior dissolved mediator. With this idea, we performed the redox behavior of CoCl2 in 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethyl) sulfonylimide ([bmim]ntf2) and N-butyl–N-methylpyrrolidinium bis (trifluoromethyl) sulfonyl imide ([Py14ntf2]) by cyclic voltammetry method. The electrochemical parameters and redox properties of Co2+/Co3+ were analyzed by effect of scan rate, temperatures, and different electrodes like Pt, Ti and DSA. |
